Day trip to Hiroshima and Miyajima Island Part TWO - Atomic Bomb Dome, Peace Memorial Park and Museum

For the second half of the same day trip, I visited Atomic Bomb Dome, Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park and Museum. I finished the day by visiting Hiroshima Okonomiyaki mura (お好み焼き 村) for its famous Hiroshima style savory Okonomiyaki pancake.

The second half of the day was spent in Hiroshima. I planned Hiroshima sightseeing as the the second half of the day trip because of the easy access to bullet or JR train to go back to my hotel.

I took the JR ferry from Miyjima Island back to JR Miyajimaguchi station. Then, I took the same Sanyo line train back to the JR/Bullet train Hiroshima station.

After obtaining information from the tourism office staff at JR Hiroshima station, I decided to buy the Tram day-pass (about 600 yen) for the convenience of not having to buy each individual tickets.

Arriving at Genbaku-Dome-Mae (原爆ドーム前) tram station. I saw the iconic sight of Hiroshima, A-Bomb Dome, which is the historic remain of atomic blast that took place on August 6th,1945.

I was wondering around in the city, searching for the Okonomiyaki Mura restaurant food court.

Okonomiyaki mura restaurant food court can be easily missed if not  paying attention. Look for the building on the left in the photograph.

There were plenty of restaurant vendors to choose from. No need to wait in line on weekdays.

I picked the restaurant that had the most number of customers.

This was one of my favorite photographs I have taken during this day trip. I took it right by the iconic Hiromshima Atomtic Bomb Dome.
