The second half of the day was spent in Hiroshima. I planned Hiroshima sightseeing as the the second half of the day trip because of the easy access to bullet or JR train to go back to my hotel.
I took the JR ferry from Miyjima Island back to JR Miyajimaguchi station. Then, I took the same Sanyo line train back to the JR/Bullet train Hiroshima station.

After obtaining information from the tourism office staff at JR Hiroshima station, I decided to buy the Tram day-pass (about 600 yen) for the convenience of not having to buy each individual tickets.

Arriving at Genbaku-Dome-Mae (原爆ドーム前) tram station. I saw the iconic sight of Hiroshima, A-Bomb Dome, which is the historic remain of atomic blast that took place on August 6th,1945.

Hiroshima has come a long way since the bombing that took place at the city center.

I walked across the bridge and arrived at the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park.

Another group of students were taking their school field trip to Hiroshima Atomic bomb site.

After paying nominal fee, I entered Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum.

The exhibit shows how powerful the Atomic bomb was by displaying melted rocks and concrete.

There were many international tourists visiting Hiroshima Peace Memorial park and museum.

Using my tram day-pass, I continued on my journey of venturing in Hiroshima city.

Many sightseeing areas in the world offer heart-shaped "sculpture" for romantic photographic opportunity for couples.

I was wondering around in the city, searching for the Okonomiyaki Mura restaurant food court.

Okonomiyaki mura restaurant food court can be easily missed if not paying attention. Look for the building on the left in the photograph.

There were plenty of restaurant vendors to choose from. No need to wait in line on weekdays.
