Classic-anime fans need no introduction for the godfather of manga of Japan, Tezuka Osamu. He is the creator of Astro Boy, Black Jack, and Kimba the White Lion, just to name a few. Tezuka Osamu is also a medical school graduate but he pursued a career of a manga/anime artist for the greater part of his life.
Access - Getting there
Tezuka Osamu Manga Museum is located 7-8 minutes from JR Takarazuka Station on foot. I recommend taking JR Takarazuka train line from JR Osaka station to JR Takarazuka station. The train ride takes about 25-35 minutes.

It was a nice 8-minute walk from the station to the Tezuka Osamu Manga Museum on a clear day.
Nice "suburban" area in Takarazuka. This area is also known for the famous Japanese All-female theater performance group, Takarazuka Revue 宝塚歌劇団.
Arriving at the Tezuka Osamu Manga Museum, I was greeted by the anime character Phoenix statue 火の鳥. Entrance fee is about 700 yen for adults and 100 yen for children.
Hall of fame hand and footprints for the anime characters. Phoenix, Astro Boy, Lion King, and Black Jack etc.

Futuristic decoration for the manga comic book reading area.
Tezuka Osamu's Black Jack manga series will always be my favorite.
Flipping through the pages of the masterpiece, Black Jack. I heard many Japanese medical students read this manga comic series for the inspiration and motivation for becoming a doctor.
Re-creation of the room of a manga artist in Japan.
Another re-creation of the Japanese manga godfather at work.
The kids were making their artwork during a cartoon anime workshop.
Anime-themed interior of Tezuka Osamu manga museum.
I could not resist from buying some Black Jack character souvenir such as key chains before leaving the museum. The coin change tray had an Astro Boy sitting on it.
After a few hours of visiting the manga museum, I took the last glance of Black Jack anime character and then went back to Osaka area to spent the rest of the day in Shinsekai 新世界 and Namba 難波 area.
